💧 HYDROGEN: Forbes and Transport Topics both dig into Columbus, Indiana-based Cummins’ newly released plan to grow its fuel cell and hydrogen production business, including the intention to supply hydrogen-electric power systems for a variety of vehicles such as trains, buses, and heavy-duty trucks.

💵 INVESTMENT: SunVest Solar in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, plans expansion outside of Wisconsin thanks to a $50 million investment from Euclid Capital in Toronto, reports the Milwaukee Business Journal.


  • Tomorrow (Nov. 18), Fresh Energy, Shift2Electric, and the American Lung Association will offer a workshop on electric snowblowers and whether the more environmentally-friendly models can compete with gas-fueled versions in the upper Midwest’s harsh winters.

  • Argonne National Laboratory is hosting a virtual event on Thursday (Nov. 19) examining the future of energy storage.

  • The Michigan UP EV Readiness Workshop will take place on Dec. 2. The online event will connect municipal leaders and businesses to discuss how to ready the state’s Upper Peninsula for EV infrastructure.

  • The North Dakota Energy Progress and Innovation Conference will be held virtually Jan. 26-27, 2021. One of the key topics will be future energy innovation opportunities for North Dakota.
